I’ve been working as a creative for more than 15 years, first as a copywriter then as a creative strategist and creative director, in Sao Paulo and New York (from 2006 to 2010). I have worked for big and small agencies, content publishers, TV shows, Youtube channels and independent projects. I’d say my work can be placed at the intersection of a few categories such as advertising, content, PR, entertainment, digital and the real world.
During my career I had the chance and the luck to develop highly creative, innovative, viral, PRable and purpose-driven communication projects that stood out in the fields of digital/social and branded/original content. As Creative Director I mentored teams as big as 10 people using my experience and passion for creativity to inspire them deliver high profile creative work in terms of concept and execution.
Cannes Lions (including a Grand Prix and being part of an Agency of the Year team), SXSW Interactive Activism, Facebook Studio Awards, Amazon Studios Awards, MTV VMB are some of the festivals that recognized my work. On the other side of the table I have been a Webby Awards jury member and IADAS (International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences) executive member for a couple of years now. I also recently became a judge for The Anthem Awards, a new benchmark for purpose & mission-driven work.
On the original content side, one of my writings, a feature film screenplay, was optioned by Amazon Studios US. And the rights of a serie concept I co-created and wrote was bought by Studio Canal and then recently bought from them by Amazon Studios BR, being in the development phase now (2021).
